“If you find a girl who reads, keep her close. When you find her up at 2 AM clutching a book to her chest and weeping, make her a cup of tea and hold her. You may lose her for a couple of hours but she will always come back to you. She’ll talk as if the characters in the book are real, because for a while, they always are. Date a girl who reads because you deserve it. You deserve a girl who can give you the most colorful life imaginable. If you can only give her monotony, and stale hours and half-baked proposals, then you’re better off alone. If you want the world and the worlds beyond it, date a girl who reads.”

Lost.
I love books. If I could, I might read forever. Until there was nothing left. Until I became them. And their stories were my stories, their worlds, my world. Until their sorrows were my sorrows and their triumphs were mine, too. Until everything was lost in the pages.

Love is...a blanket fort, wine, and a vampire movie.
Valentine's Day being on a Tuesday, we decided to celebrate over the weekend. We've thrown ideas back and forth for weeks. Dinner and movie? Not very original. Skydiving! Yes...nope, no, too expensive. Drive-in movie? Yea, that sounds fun. Well, except we don't even really want to see those movies that are playing at the only drive-in remotely close.
We have never done much for Valentine's Day. Dinner, maybe. We went to the Houston Museum of Natural Science last year. The year before, we made a heart-shaped pizza from scratch. Something low-key and unique. I've always felt slightly opposed to Valentine's Day, somehow. Shouldn't we love each other all the time? Be romantic just because?
The truth is, we are saving for our wedding, and we are pretty broke. So, what did we do? We built a giant blanket fort in the living room, ordered Chinese food, and watched Breaking Dawn on Blu-ray. No cell phones allowed. It was nice. It was one-hundred percent Destinee-ish. Would I have enjoyed something more romantic? Maybe. But I enjoy most of the time we spend together.
We spent this morning running wedding errands and are currently sitting under a blanket fort and watching what is probably our fifth or sixth episode of Law and Order: SVU episode of the day (Elliot and Olivia: More than just partners? marathon, of course). Cool or not cool?
We are pretty right for each other.
